My resource board

I try so hard to keep things organised, however I am constantly moving around the school and things get easily misplaced and then lost. I decided to create this resource board for my most commonly used items in the room that I teach my KS3 and KS4 lessons in.

The plastic envelopes have a zip at the top and are stapled to the display board. Pupils are able to access the sticky notes when they need them and I can easily give out the coloured card and plenary postcards for quick and easy plenaries at the end of my lessons. I also have an envelope for my rewards postcards, which pupils earn through good work or contribution in the lesson. Having the postcards visible to pupils has worked really well as a motivation technique, as KS3 pupils are so keen to earn one!

Other ideas for a resource board which could easily be put into envelopes:

  1. Pens and pencils
  2. Rulers
  3. Scissors
  4. Spare paper
  5. Extension tasks
  6. Key word glossaries for pupils to complete
  7. Help sheets for differentiation
  8. Reflection cards for unfocused pupils
